Our certified Car Seat Technician provides education, appointments, and support to ensure children in Iowa County travel safely.

Education: Families receive guidance on proper car seat selection, installation, and harnessing, including educational materials available monthly at WIC clinics. Parents and caregivers are empowered to safely install and secure their child during scheduled appointments.

Appointments: Families residing in Iowa County can schedule in-home or WIC clinic appointments. Children must be present for each session, and a checklist is completed to document proper installation and safe use.

Documentation & Compliance: All inspections, purchases, and educational activities are carefully recorded to maintain safety standards and track program impact.

Car Seat Purchases: Eligible families meeting WIC income guidelines may receive one car seat per child per stage of development, selected and provided by the technician as funding allows. Educational sessions for expecting families may use demonstration seats, with a recheck required after the child is born.
